Crew clothing - refund of delivery postage when returning item to store?

Can anyone help?
I returned some boots to my local Crew clothing shop today that I'd ordered online & did so within the 7 day limit.
When I asked for a refund of postage too the store, & crew head office, refused. They said I would only get a refund on delivery postage if I posted them back (which I would have to pay for - so no point!).
Is this right?
Thanks for reading!

DSRs state they must refund original postage, but if their terms allow, you must pay return postage. However they could also insist you return the items to the online side of the business. What they are likely doing is operating this statutory returns policy alongside their own returns policy which allows you to return them to a store and fofeit original postage. So it depends whether you returned them under DSRs or a different returns policy.
  • Thank you - that's really helpful. They don't state anywhere that you lose the right to delivery charge refund by returning to a store. Only that store refund's are there for additional convenience - I'll email and see what response I get.
