I don't find mines too hot too hold, unless I touch the actual brush. Doesn't sound right to me. Maybe others will come along and tell you what theirs is like though.

What styling products are people using to help 'hold' the lift?

Can anyone tell me if this is normal. I've tried it twice and love it but as i'm styling my hair it makes my hair so hot its too hot to hold. I only usually use a hairdryer so it may be completely normal but just want to check i havent got a dud. Thanks

Hi JWD, sounds like a duffer, mine isn't as hot as that, and I'm sure that doesn't sound right at all. I'd take it back and ask for a replacement x

This is currently £29.99 on Amazon. Not as cheap as Wilkos but readily available if anyone is fed up of searching for one.
  • Apparently St Austell had some earlier in the week, worth a look if your passing :)

I think JWD meant her hair is too hot too touch, not the actual brush itself?

As I don't have one, could it be the heat settings need turning down? My hair is the same if I use heated rollers or if my straighteners are on a high temp so I keep them on a low setting (120degrees) not the highest 220.

Yes its my hair. I'll try the lower setting next time and invest in some heat protector spray. Thanks for advice.

Might be worth watching the demo on QVC?

My hair gets very hot if I dont keep moving the brush.....if you keep the brush in one place, I think use it on the cold setting and higher settings when pulling it through your hair to mimic bow drying.

Mmmm....dont think I explained that very well! ;)

Despite the heat i love the effect it has on my usually limp and flat hair.

I generally use the hot setting when brushing through the hair and wrapping the hair around the barrel, then switch to the cool setting when holding hair in place around the barrel. I believe this is a hairdressers' trick as a cool blast will set a hot curl in place.
