tiling over tiles?

I've had my kitchen re-fitted recently. The fitter suggested tiling over the original tiles because of possible difficulties with removing them. I was apprehensive having read a lot of stuff similar to this thread but went along with it because he'd done a good job with the rest of the kitchen. I picked some fairly small tiles (20cm sq) and I must say he's done a great job - they look really good. So in conclusion it can be done and done well if you have somebody who knows what they're doing0

It is quick and easy to do, but not very professional. Plasteboard is cheap."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
