Cheers guys. I'll look into statutory reports for my Mum against Equifax and Experian.

Will post my findings here in the coming days!

    Thanks again.

You can apply for our £2 report with a debit card.

    Hi guys,

So my Mum has now received both reports from Equifax and Experian and I can report the following:

Equifax - No problems whatsoever. Holds all accurate information and confirms she's been on Electoral Roll since she moved into her current property (16 years), holds all accolunt info including one CC which was settled 2 years ago. ALL green. No credit searches.

Experian - So there's something fishy with this report. Shows NO data for electoral roll - it says "No Electoral Roll information for address provided" and there are NO credit account/utility listings whatsoever. Just one credit search conducted by a "CREDIT REPORTING AGENCY LTD", which I'm huessing is someone like Check My File perhaps?

Is the lack of data held by Experian perhaps the reason why she has previously been rejected for a House of Fraser store card? Is there a reason why her Experian rpt is so light and how can she rectify this?

    All help appreciated as always!

    Thanks guys,

    Z

A year or so back I found Callcredit were very poor in reporting my credit history. I've recently signed up with their Noddle online product and it seems that they now have every account listed, just the same as Experian whom I've trusted for years. I'm not promoting any CRA over any other; just pointing out that Callcredit are now reporting precisely the same as Experian for me.

For the more technically literate, who are unaware of the cartoon, http://xkcd.com/327/ takes the mick somewhat out of this 'problem.'

I know it's a month ago but I've only just seen this and I had to log on to say thanks for posting the link, that's definitely cheered up my day :rotfl:.

Now you have a report from Experian, there will be a reference number on it and you can report problems to them via their website (or phone etc.)

But can anyone confirm if, what I pointed out are indeed problems?

Yep if shes missing data especially ER with the biggest CRA that will affect her big time. She will need to contact experian.

Zudecke can I ask are the address the same for the council tax and the address. My old address was two letters different and it was down to the council holding the wrong info but they were dragging their feet about it.

Therefore when we moved I had two years of missing information. Speak to experian they have always been very helpful in the past and may recommend a course of action.

How long has your mum lived at her current property?
