We have arranged for American style fridge freezers to be delivered to first floor rooms before. Bosch, Neff & Siemens use a specialist appliance delivery company called Swift and as long as they know its going to the first floor they are fine about it. I think the delivery charge for one is under £200.

Well we have a solution, 111KAB was right. Called an independant applicance place and they will not only beat the prices of the high street stores, they will also deliver free, 1st floor not a problem apparently.
