Calor Gas and Direct Debits

Switch to Calor Gas for LPG Nov 2010. Initial DD £62 a month. All OK until Oct 2011, had a delivery and DD increased to £89, not a problem as arrears justified the increase. Letter stated that new DD would take effect Dec 2011. Today a letter telling me that at the 12 month point of contract (Nov 2011) I owed £390 and I either paid it all now or DD would increase to £129 and would remain so until Nov 2012. My current balance is £251 and I still have 60% in the tank. It is worth noting that the delivery was unnecessary as still had half a tank of gas.
