I went to the office. They didn't have the parcel and there was no record of it in the returns book.

The seller hasn't replied to my last three messages. I'll give it till Monday and do an INR through PayPal if I don't have any success...

Don't wait until Monday. get the full INR open today as it takes 10 days to resolve in your favour anyway.

I opened an INR dispute but have had no response at all from the seller. When would it be reasonable to escalate it to a claim?

Sorry for the daft questions but in 11 years of using Ebay and several hundred transactions, this is only the second time I've had an INR (and the other one was about 9 years ago!)

As per all the posts above YES escalate it.

Alternatively you can just keep allowing seller to walk all over you

I'm more worried about having the claim disallowed because I didn't follow the correct procedure than being walked over by the seller. Apart from acknowledgements from Paypal when I opened the dispute and then when I escalated it, I haven't heard anything. It's the silence that bothers me... The other time I had a dispute, the seller was threatening me within minutes of opening it!

Has the seller been active on ebay in the time that you've been waiting for a response?

It doesn't look like they've listed anything since early December.

Do claims just go through automatically if the seller doesn't dispute it?
