Bedroom condensation problem??
Comments
-
Is the back bedroom the coldest room in the house ? Moisture in the air will migrate to there and as cold air can't hold as much moisture it will deposit it on a cold surface .Drying clothes in side if you have condensation problems is a no no unless you have a dehumidifier .0

Thanks to all for your help..
I have had a few roofers round to investigate the roof but none have noticed any problems..This is the only room in the house that has two outside walls(as in the other rooms have three walls connected to the next door houses etc)...because it has two exterior walls, i'm assuming it would be the coldest room in the house..
People do sleep in the other rooms in the house...
The roof space above is so tiny I don't think anyone would fit in there...0 -
Just to resurrect this thread and a bit of info with anyone having similar symptoms..It seems like some of the experts on this thread were right in that it sounds like a roofing problem.
I have had a qualified roofer out last week who had a look on the verge of my roof(he was the only roofer to actually get up on the roof to see the top of it rather than look from the garden) and only after lifting a few slates noticed that the flashing was'nt set right at the end hence allowing water to pentrate through and causing the black mould...the roof looks ok from below but it's only when he got up there that he noticed what was going wrong. He has fixed it all today and with fingers crossed, I hope that is the end of this long standing problem.
He mentioned about getting mould remover to kill the mould that has been growing so it doesn't reappear now?...What is the best type and how do I go about putting this on the walls? As the roof is fixed now, I want to get rid of the black spots and hope they don't reappear so I can decorate the room again...
Thanks to all for your help....0
