Well done for going to the police, although given that the villains are undoubtedly overseas nothing is likely to happen. Contrary to what the bar room lawyers on here say, there undoubtedly has been a crime committed. Forgery and fraud by misrepresentation immediately spring to mind. There doesnt have to a victim (yet) for a crime to have been committed.
Well we know that now, after the OP went to the bank, as suggested, and got them to confirm that the signature was fake.
Personally I'd have got the bank to deal with it, as it was them who would have been the likely victim of the attempted fraud. It seems they are being very lazy considering one of their customer's accounts could be compromised.
Unless they are confident the fake signature will be spotted during clearing.0 -
Well done, Kevin, good on you. You've done the right thing. If only everyone was public spirited like you then the country would be a much better place to live in.
Just ignore the ignorant, rude and stupid people here, unfortunately, as you can see, there's quite a few of them on chat boards and this forum is no exception.0 -

I'd agree. Possession of stolen goods is another.0 -

Indeed - the ignore list is very useful for such people. I need never read your tedious repetative posts again :cool:0
