Hi there
I'm thinking of cancelling sky tv. I also have sky talk and sky broadband, but I'm thinking of retaining these. What is the impact? Will my price for talk and broadband increase?
Thank you.

I enquirer about the same thing yesterday. My phone & broadband aspect of my Sky package costs me £12.25 at the minute (I have the free broadband, not unlimited). If I cancel the TV it will go up to £22.25.0

That will be for unlimited broadband and calls, including line rental.
i.e Line rental £12.25 / month
Unlimited (LLU) broadband £10 / month.
AFAIK The 2Gb broadband is only available as a bait and hook for TV subscribers. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

There are a variety of offers that the cancellation team may make to keep you with sky TV, 25% off TV for 6/12 months (no contract applied) or if you threated to cancel all, there was an offer of 9 months free unlimited Broadband, line rental and talk package. So you say that you are going to cancel your TV and move your phone etc somewhere else (like plusnet or BT) - but sound serious and do it on "financial reasons" There are teams within cancellations that have no offers to make so you wouldn't be made an offer to stay, luck of the draw whether you get them. If you go ahead and cancel the TV, you may get a call/email from the winback team offering you 50% off TV but again, no guarantees whether they would contact you or not. Good luck and stick to your guns to get best deal for you0 -
Hi,
Maybe this could be of some help:
I rang Sky yesterday and told them that I wanted a HD box and would like to cancel my Sky TV because a VM rep was calling house to house and they offered me 6months free subscription with a 6months half price line rental for the remainder of the 12months.
The Sky representative said she can give the HD (standard box) for free with a monthly fee of £5.25 for 12months AND with a 25% discount for 12months off Sky TV bill ONLY. However, there would be a £15 installation charge.
But I also pushed for the multiroom having read certain comments on MSE and said that I wish to use my existing Sky+ box in another room. I also mentioned that a friend of mine got 12months free multiroom. So in the end, we have:
Sky HD Box (Standard)
Half Price HD subscription: £5.25 (normally £10.25)
Free multiroom Subscription (normally £10.50, I think it was)
Free setup and installation (normally £15)
25% off Sky TV Bill ONLY.
I think that is a reasonable offer having been paying £25 for Sky TV with a Sky+ box for over a year. But now got more things for less.
Also, to get a 1TB HD box would cost £49 (instead of the usual £249) - I tried getting this but nothing could be done to the one off cost of the 1TB box.
hope this helps a little.0
