    Latest..

Picked up some possible cards re balance transfers in Martin's email this week and promptly applied for one to see if I can use for a buffer on the OD, plus I can use to pay off CC4 and CC5 and to balance transfer from CC1 as the promo rate comes to an end soon. Wish me luck! I am nots ure how much they will give me.

Now about to try and get sugar addled kids into bed...after that will def need a large glass of wine!

    So today..

Slow day. Started by taking kids to parents and didn't get back until lunchtime so feels like went into 'it's no use starting anything now the day has gone'...mode..and it's now past 4!

Made some PADs and checked account. Have had a text from MBNA saying that they are considering my application. Will have to see what they say. Am not hugely hopeful as our household income is way less than before plus I seem to be increasing...or on a good day managing my debt..but not decreasing it..( not sure where I read that turn of phrase on here but it's a good one and it sums me up exactly!)

But, as I was determined to use my £BP account for the dinner tonight and then the blooming restaurant said they weren't taking them (despite what the web site said and a polite email earlier this week checking that they did) ..I had a fit, told them to sort themselves out and rebooked elsewhere. I simply can't justify paying it from our current account so had to be done. Bonus is that the place I am now going to is a much cheaper place who have only just started taking our new currency. So best result all round.

Switched off heating (which was on timer) this morning as not needed. Got wetter but milder I think. Bought lightbulbs and spent £54 at the vets which is probably a lucky escape. Last time it was £117 so pretty good. Apart from that no spends. Also cancelled veg box, milk etc and will buy when we need it as not many people in the house this week.

Okey doke better sort some housework now! I hope this weather improves. Blooming miserable here for sure.

PS. Haven't done housework!! But have signed up to a shiny new goal on the MFIT-T3 challenge..MUCH more productive!! Whoop whoop! Do like a new goal! And the fact it's not up until 2015 gives me some time to make some progress! :-)

What is the MFIT-T3 challenge? Have I missed something? I'm only doing the NSD for November.

It's a great challenge. The idea was originally Mortgage Free in Three (Years).. And this will be the third round. It lasts for 3 years. The second one is coming to an end so Financial Bliss is starting a new one.

I, of course, will never clear the mortgage in 3 years or even 6. But it's a great idea and you just set a 3 year target which you think is achievable. Mine is trying to pay off new debt and then get down to £120k on the mortgage by Dec 2015.

The peeps on there are lovely. Have a scout about and see what you think. Maybe one for the future when Pret is a distant memory and you are the next JK Rowling? Xx

    Okey doke..

    Today I have

    - read lots of diaries
    - met up with a good ex-work colleague which was great and sociable. He paid for brunch so that was good
-88p from the solar panels..hardly a fortune but it has been very dark today and I will take whatever I can!
    - have sorted out 1.5 bin bags of stuff from DD2's room...she'll never know but it's a start. Plan to ask her to do some more next week.
    - have not had heating on but have lit the stove. Using free wood, but will have to buy more soon. £95 for a m3 bag..eek
-MIL gave me £50.. lovely lady
    - have had half a chat with OH re the MFIT-T3 goal. To be continued at our now regular Sunday eve chats!
-sorted out some filing. Still needs to be actually put into lever arch files but at least the dross has been recycled
    - checked bank account and have made some small PADs

Think that's it. Looking forward to relaxing this eve..although I have not been working its felt twice as hard as paid work!!

    Hope all are OK
