    Hi there

Cheap? Not usually. It's organic, mostly, with us as we like to support local businesses, although I do sometimes pick up reduced items and chuck em in the freezer. It's about making it stretch and meat an accompaniment rather than the largest portion on the plate that drives me on:)

Bonus will be very welcome. Roll on the end of the month.

    How's you, Alex?

Massive congratulations on the bonus Brizzle, roll on your payday for your DFdom :D and before the end of the financial year how fantastic. Will you go on to try for MF? We're about to head down the mortgage road :( It's going to be really weird getting back into debt again, but we can't keep living in a house where we can get kicked out with 2 months notice.

Yes we're staying for good :) My work have an office here, and the project I'm going onto do as well plus we love it here. Housing market is a bit rubbish as prices have risen, but I've told OH if we don't get on it now then we'll find it harder when interest rates rise. So won't be our dream home, but will be a short-stop one for the next 5 years ish until we need to pay attention to schooling :)

    Hi SA:wave:

Yes it's great news although I am already jumping ahead to stress about whetherIi can start to put as much into savings pots as I hope to..I must be mad not to enjoy it all first! I will be very proud when that last CC hits the dust..FOREVER!! I have already cancelled the DD for it which felt good.

I am also reworking a BudgetBrain to take account of the new circumstances..just want to review with OH first before it goes live.

kerri..that's great news! Am really pleased. Weird to think of your new project though when your LO is so newborn but you were ever practical! Happy hunting.

Feeling slow today. Sun is shining but I am below par :( Oh well. Better stir myself and get on

Another slow day :( but hope you're off somewhere nice TC! And Alex..good of you to pop in, hope things pick up for you.

A slow day as I said, but have cruised some frugal websites..which whilst mainly American and kinda out of context for me ..well the Brizzle household anyway..it does help to remind you that there are alternatives to the frantic multitasking I, and I am sure, many of us on here generally lead. Evenings full of making dinner, washing, ensuring homework gets done, clearing up and then wondering why I just want to sleep at 9pm! And that's just the evenings!

Today we had some sun though so a load got pegged out. In less good news, the 1YO v expensive WM has developed a fault. It's under warranty though so, whilst a pain, it should not cost us anything to fix. But ITS ANOTHER THING to do!!!!! AAAAAGGH.

Doctored one of Jack's recipes for burgers. Used YS mince, tin of beans (tomato sauce washed off), onions, fresh parsley, ginger, garlic, salt and pepper, breadcrumbs and 2 eggs. With the HM pittas (thanks again Elaine!) and some salad it made a good meal this eve. As I only used half, the reminder will be made into meatballs with spaghetti for tea tomorrow. So the 2 meals for 4 of us for less than a fiver :T Adding the beans is a nice touch, and really bulks it out. Have tried oats and lentils before but the beans worked well.

Chickens are also laying..not a lot but nice to see half a dozen eggs or so from the garden in the fridge..means they are earning their keep!

Hope to get my mojo back soon...full service will resume shortly I am sure! Especially on 31 March..all bring well:) :)
