Hmm. Yes 2 have just been moulting and they are probably 3 yo. But Light Sussex and Pekin bantams so although I can understand the Pekin but I am not sure whether the Light Sussex should have zero eggs so soon.

I will check for mites - thanks. They have garden to scratch in and minimal numbers so don't think diet is to blame. It's also been July since they laid..so ages....

    Thanks for the help.

Meatballs sound yummy :) if only OH wasn't veggie grr. Oh well. I found a scrummy bread mix and tried it out today, it's a crunch mix from Am4zon if you look it up. I bought 10 bags of 500g, but you can also get a big bag of 16kg (not sure if you already do this or not) :)

Hi kerri..we use flour and seeds from scratch for our bread making as cheaper. We have had huge sacks of flour in our larder before and that's probably cheapest of all but it does need space! I will look into the seeds in bulk though. As I accidentally signed up to amazon prime (£50:mad:) when I forgot to cancel it, much too much going on in August... I need to max out the option for free delivery

Planning to do housework and a huge veggie lasagne with spinach and chard from the allotment, an elderly pumpkin:rotfl:, leeks, peppers and anything else in the bottom of the fridge. If I can avoid buying anything today I will!

Wow brizzled you have been busy. I like the fact you are using up everything from the fridge/larder. I made a chicken chilli last night with old marrow chopped up, ancient spring onions and a pepper with tinned tomatoes, chopped onions and some chilli powder. The men all ate it and seemed to enjoy it. I have sacks of food stacking up in my kitchen. Buying flour in bulk is now tempting after reading about your sacks.

Can I have your chocolate biscuit recipe please as my men are becoming bored of oatie biscuits.?

You sound like you are on a roll today! Thanks for stopping by my diary too - very kind of you. X. And if it makes you feel any better, I once didn't realize that my computer virus download had signed me up for automatic renewals......until I got slammed with a $75 charge to my cc a year later when I didn't need it at all. Happens to us all. You are doing great - hugs.
