Foreign TV Channels?

What do I need to be able to watch football through my tv like how the pubs play it.

Most pubs these days have a "foreign box" where they can pick the channels up via satellite.

What kind of box do I need to buy and where can I buy these?
What other things do I need, a card, a satellite dish?

What is the cost of these?

Thanks

Was hoping the price was no where near that amount, its cheaper to add the sports pack on sky. I thought i would just need to buy a box and set it up etc.

I was hoping to do what pubs do so i can wacth some football in the house.

    Debt-free and Proud!

The English on that site is ATROCIOUS!!

"Please ignore anyone statements, let the broadcaster to do one. Please not be victim's of any speculations."

    Wut?

That would put me off straight away. Looks like someone fluent in Engrish has built that site. Awful.

You need a satellite receiver, an 80cm dish and a motor connected to the dish to enable you to receive all the different satellites. If you are starting from scratch the equipment will cost you about £180. If you want HD then add on another £100 -£150. I used this company because they got good reports on forums

A lot of football matches across Europe are free and foreign broadcasters frequently show British matches free.

Before getting involved in costs you might want to check this site on a daily basis for a week to see if the matches being broadcast are ones you might want to watch. The ones in red are free and you won't require any cards or subscriptions.

If you specifically want to watch the football that is screened in pubs then look on the web site above and you will find details of foreign viewing cards. Greek or Italian are cheapest at about 120 euros

lol, My link was absoloutey not a recommendation for the company concerned, just first on google for VIASAT uk.

Always use a CAI Plus member we can all get the various subscription packages...however I believe the CAI would rather we stayed away from this work so the CAI would not give their normal guarantee of workmanship if it goes wrong.
  • the Dreambox is MEGA,but as the above poster we can't talk about that on ere and you will need 80cm dish midlands and south and 100cm and up the further north and west you go
BUT what you really want if its just footy you crave is an APPLE TV2 and £40 p/year will get you EVERY match you want if you support a Prem leg team of course that is
Get Appletv2 & XBMC in and thank me later
