Why is this posted in the charity section ? Chuggers are paid to do this for a living. Post it in Discussion Time to get a better idea of what people think.

I came across this old thread but I read it out of interest anyway. I work in Holborn in London (the area mentioned in the thread) and this area is notorious for aggressive chuggers. On average I get hit by chuggers 4 – 6 times a day.

Having fully read the thread I am none the wiser as to how much chugger agencies actually earn. I really would like to know the answer to this – in plain English. Say for example someone signs up with a chugger and gives £10 a month – so that’s £120 a year (let’s assume that this person is a tax payer so the charity can claim the tax back). Out of that £120 a year how much does the charity get and how much does the agency get? I would be grateful for an answer to this if anybody knows.
