Vodafone early upgrade problems and bad customer services

  • Reading this post has reminded me of the massive problems I had (and am still having) with Vodafone and my struggle to get anywhere.
I renewed my contract last year (having had no problems for many years on vodafone) and since then it has been a daily struggle, I can no longer get any signal at home, text messages don't get sent (even when I have signal) and incoming texts arrive days later! after a month of these problems I contacted Vodafone only to be told that it was a common fault with the specific handset I had chosen at upgrade time, did they offer to replace said handset? short answer no. If I wanted to change handset I would effectively need to cancel my contract (paying a hefty fee as by this point I was 2 months into a 24-month contract) and take out a new one. Following several un-answered e-mails and very un-successful phone calls to people who either couldn't understand my problem or were duty bound to stick to the scripted responses ("Have you tried your sim in another handset?") I gave up any hope of actually getting anywhere, as it now stands, yes I can use my phone but only when away from home, and I have to be standing still as any movement seems to ruin the faint signal. I just wish that someone had assisted me at the time as then I would've got plenty of use out of a service that up until then I had never had a problem with.

    In desperation,
    Another dissapointed vodafone customer.

  • Hello Lee,

Here is the ref number I was given #9436516, I don't hold out much hope of anything being done and I'm already checking other service providers for both myself and my wife to transfer to at the end of our contracts.

    Barry.
