Bosch originally bought Worcester Heat Systems as they were gaining strong growth in the UK market.
This was down to the innovation in the in-house design facility and Bosch was expanding their Thermotechnic division...
At the time Junkers were the No. 1 within the group and had the majority say in all future expenditure and product development
Now 20 years later Worcester Bosch are the No.1 and the other companies within the division all now manufacture the majority of the same products which have their design concepts generated at Worcester.

The purchased parts used are all from the same suppliers and you would not be able to tell which country the product was built in.
Bosch is very stringent as you would expect from a German company and strive to ensure that the build quality and manufacturing methodology is standard.

The main thing now though is Worcester Bosch is developing the manufacturing processes for the whole group and is recognised as being the standard that the other companies should meet.

Worscester currently have a 5 year warranty offer on some boilers. My installer gave me some spiel about the 5 year warranty offer being over when installed in August (just before the current offer started) so I'd better check with WB.
See my comment above yours - its currently 7 years.

Thanks for all the replies guys :)

7 year seems pretty good fo a warranty tbh, Budgeting for around 800-1000 for the boiler sound approapriate?

Any fitters on here with market knowledge fo the specific models available with the 7yr warranty?

To get a 7 year warranty it will have to have a yearly service.

    Bosch are good at marketing

    Arfurrrr,
Whats the best/most popular or best value for money in your opinion?
    how are they for warranty?

Not entirely sure on the space we have available at the moment were removing a wall to borrow space from a large bedroom cupboard into the bathroom.

I have worked for Worcester Bosch for over 28 years and have seen it grow from a smallish local company to a European market leader.
I agree that the marketing is good but that is on the back of a good product that sells itself.
Its each to their own when it comes to product preferences and I will of course have a bias towards a company that has been a large part of my life.
We are one of the more expensive brands but are still the leader in market share and turnover - must be doing something right

I sense you are not impressed with the Bosch brand?

Any chance of some input on the Worcester boilers available or any upcoming offers on your gear?

Guy at work mentioned he had saw something on TV where a new boiler is installed/serviced/maintained by a company for like £20/pm if you agreee to a 5year plan, anyone heard/seen anything about this at the moment its a valid option unless theres some daft T+C's

Ha Ha. Just you work out the cost of ownership then. I thought it was more like 10 years but am happy to be wrong. This "plan" has been discussed on these boards recently but I'm b.......d if I can remember where and when. A search should reveal it to you.

    Cheers
