aol broadband and browser help

a friend of mine has aol bb and browser installed on his pc, its very slow and a pain in the neck when surfing the net. is there a way i can connect to the net automatically when i turn pc on? then i can get him to use I.E or firefox instead ... thanks

    You can install FF or even IE7. You will need to setup a connection manually with in the Internet Explorer / Tools / Options / Connections

    When you install and start FF ( Firefox ) tick the box thats says Make this my Default Browser.

    Hope that Helps. I know what you mean, AOL browser is soooooooo slow.
