About 40 days prior to the end, send them an email via the contact us page on their site (if it still exists) to ask them to terminate the contract on the contract end date. 40 days so you get allow a response from them in 5 working days. And with 30 days to go, phone and confirm that line will terminate. If you want to keep the number and move to another network, then go down PAC code route.

From reading this forum for a while, I would always go down the PAC route.

The reason is simple. If you transfer your number - even to a PAYG sim, then there is zero chance of the old network claiming you didn't cancel. There is an active thread as of today's date that highlights the problem of a contract thought to have been cancelled, but not.

Feb 30th?....even for a leap year, that's good going :)

Seriously though....if you do intend to write to Vodafone to end your contract...make sure that your dates are correct, and unless you're following a phonecall up in writing, make sure that you send the letter by some registered means - just in case "proof of receipt" is required.

Thanks for all your help so far. i was hoping more for a letter/email template which i could just enter my name address and vodafone account details into then send it by email and recorded delivery.
