    I assumed the reason you couldn't get your business account was because of your recent debt? If thats the case then you will probably also have similar problems in opening another personal account. I would imagine that the people on that forum can advise you on the best bank to apply with.

    No i am fine with my personal account as Santander kept my current account open :)

    Yes, I realise that, but it is easier to have a separate bank account to use for your business, even if its another personal account. As I said above, its not impossible to use a single account for personal and business combined, but it will be a lot easier for you when it comes to book keeping and tax returns if you can keep them separate.

    Howdy, Natwest used to do an account called Foundation, it's effectively a basic business account. No cheques, no lending, just a debit card and the business name - sounds like that's what you're after.
