not gonna re read all the pages again but wouldn't mind helping trying to crack the code, what day do we all try and crack it, can someone show me what I have to do. Getting really excited now, I keep checking and reading new posts on this thread, we started going on the sun holidays last year and we are hooked :-)

We should have the 9th code in the paper on Monday morning, so it will be a case of when they activate the 10th code and allow bookings, most likely it will be at around 5pm on Monday as they seem to activate the Word/Site ready for the following morning when the papers first hit the streets on Tuesday Morning.
Last Year the code was Cracked at 5.10pm the evening before the 10th code was published.
However I expect there will probably attempts at checking the codes throughout Monday, just in case the word is activated early!
    Joovce, Joovce you want me to spell, it's a J, V, C.

cant decide between butlins skegness or thorpe park cleethorpes for me and my son lol

We went to Butlins in Minehead in 2010 and although it was good it was also very expensive especially for eating out on site. We went to Thorpe Park Cleethorpes in July 2011 and this was good. There is a theme park just outside the site that isn't part of Haven. We would definately go back here. There is also a large tesco down the road although we had our shopping delivered to the caravan through tesco. If you head towards the seafront, outside of the caravan park, there are lots of eating places including a buffet chinese (unfortunately we found this when we were on our way home). The kids enjoyed this site (14, 10 and 3).

    Hope this helps.

    hi claire
we upgraded, it can only be silver, they don't allow gold upgrades through the sun
we didn't see an upgrade online but we did it when we got our confirmation
I feel its worth it , it was fairly clean although the crockery and utensils were dirty , they provided washing liquid with sponge and cloth , so we didn't have to dig it out
the rooms were well heated , the beds were fairly comfy , the shower/toilet was quite ok
we asked to look at a standard and were quite pleased we had upgraded.
this was at bognor, we are going to try for minehead

Have to say, we went to Minehead in October on a Sun holiday and didn't upgrade and we're glad we didn't! It really wasn't any different to the Silver accommodation. Other than, you don't get a microwave or an iron. Hmm, can do without those on holiday LOL! It was as clean as any of the other accommodation we've ever stayed in there - and we've stayed in Standard, Silver and Gold! :)

hi all just thought id say i love this thread... its like a sun holiday manual lmaooooo im hoping to book butlins minehead for our break this year and thinking of goin half board, has any1 been half board with butlins b4?? would really like to kno ifs its worth it and what the foods like?? guna cost us 200 pound so dont really wana jus pay without knowing 1st!!

ive been to devon cliffs and haven burnham on sea with the sun before, both were out of season (devon cliffs in early october and burnham in febuary) but were brilliant!! now my kids are a little older (2 and 4) i wana take them in summer i think so they can enjoy then sunshine n beach =D =D

We stayed at Minehead between Christmas and New Year a few weeks ago and stayed half board. We've only ever been self catering before but had paid to go into the half board restaurants and found it was ok. So we chanced a half board holiday. By the third night (our last) we were sick of the sight of food lol! We did upgrade to the premium dining option, I think the food is probably the same, but the dining area is much nicer. Plus, instead of the main meat option being cut and served on a tray for you to help yourself, it's served as a carvery. And there's also a noodle bar. Other than that there's not much difference food wise. Breakfast time you get pancakes and fruit (and I believe the option of omelettes) if you're in the premium dining room. We liked it and would happily do it again but there are plenty of good places to eat if you decide to go self catering. PM me if you want some recommendations for places to eat outside of the resort. They are also opening a new eating area from Feb this year for self catering guests - not sure what sort of food it'll be or the quality, but it's something like Firehouse or something like that. :)

Has anyone been to Pontins in Brean Sands or can they recommend another good one to stay at, have already got Burnham on Sea Haven as my top pick due to a recommendation but what ones would you suggest to go to next.

I have been to Dawlish, Torquay and Hendra and can highly rate Torquay and Hendra in Newquay - wasn't so keen on the Dawlish holiday

Indeed, a couple of times ago it was me - modest - who cracked it.

Anyone else up for cracking it on Monday?
