Anyone experienced the two park resorts sites in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight? which is the liveliest with best facilities for the kids Lower Hyde or Landguard?
Also whats roughly the price of ferry crossings-did i see on a previous post the sun give you a discount code for the crossings?0 -
But if i did that then the 3 days would be booked online using priority and the 4 nights booked in the post (as i only have 1 priority code) with no guarantee i would get it. Is that right?
the Uk holidays in the promotions are either 3 night holidays or 4 night not 7 night holidays.
The only way to get a 7 night break online is to book 2 separate holidays.
There are various options to do this online:
the Daily Mail promotion is taking bookings online now - without needing a priority code so you could go to the site now and see if you dates are available - if so you can book 2 holidays with them with no need for any priority codes...
or you could book one holiday with the sun and top it up with another from the Daily Mail. this is what i am going to try to do as the dates i want for part of the week are not available any more with the Daily Mail - but the second half of the week is.
There is no guaranteed way to get 7 nights in the uk as the promotion is for 3 or 4 night breaks. The best bet would be to look if there was availability with the Daily Mail offer and you can check if both dates are available and book immediately if they are.
edited to add - i just looked on the Daily Mail / Break free and cornwall has lots of availability for 13th July - and for the dates before and after this weekend - including Haven Perran Sands so you could just book 2 of these now and have your 7 nights secured.

Ahh ok, thanks for that. I wonder how much it would be to upgrade for 3/4 nights, would it still be worth it?0 -
W'eve been to Reighton Sands & Crantock Beach-had a great time on both occasions0

Here you go for the daily mail ones, much more expensive than the sun ones but worth a look still

Hi
We are looking to do this for the first time? Is the priority booking for people who have done this previously? I don't understand how to book online...!
Also, what chance do we have of getting anything if everyone has priority booking? Help!
unfortunately online booking is only available to ppl who have booked previously and also at 1 stage by post, so once u have done ur frst sun holiday by post u will then receive priority bookin for any other sun holidays they run...0 -

i think it depends where you want to go and when - i have booked 2 haven holidays with the daily mail offer both in school holidays and they both worked out £8 more expensive than with the sun but £££££ cheaper than booking direct with Haven.

Really lil lady, you think daily mail are more expensive? I have just done a dummy booking with the daily mail for 4 nights in july and they wanted £62.50 thats about the same as the sun in july isnt it?0 -

I think the UK holidays work out about the same with the daily mail / sun but the overseas ones seem to be much more expensive....
BUT for those without priority booking forms for the sun i would recommend everyone wanting a UK holiday checks on the Break Free / Daily Mail site before sending out the vouchers in the post..
Freddy73 - have you managed to get 7 days with the Daily Mail?

Hi has anyone been to any of the following sites? We have a nearly one year old and want plenty to do in the complex and around the local area. Any day trips that can be recommended would also be appreciated. Thank you
- park 104 - woolacombe bay holiday village
- park 105 woolacombe sands holiday park
- park 106 - Golden coast holiday village
- park 125 - Haven Devon Cliifs Holiday park.
We went to Hendra in Newquay last year and had a great time! Althought the passes for the swimming pool was pricey so we didnt bother with our baby who was 2 months old then, but this year we want good entertainement, an indoor pool and plenty to do. Any other parks that you can recommend, please do! Many thanks x0
