My Sassaris should be here this coming week - I hope! I hope!

If they were posted on 23rd that means they've been 5 working days (6 if you count Saturday) already so surely by midweek I should get them...

    Fingers crossed x

Taylors have just confirmed Mary-Janes have been shipped to me. I have looked on the HM Customs website and it strikes me that one item below £36 including the postage cost is free of customs/duty/ import VAT............one pair plus $14 shipping is $43 well under £36............hope I read it right!

    Taylors also take Paypal.

Any goods purchased from outside the EC are liable for duty and in some cases VAT. If you have been sent a gift and the value is under £36 you will not be liable, over that amount you will be charged depending on the product. For purchases bought by yourself with a value over £18 you may have to pay duty depending on the product; it may also be liable to VAT. Under that amount you will not be liable.

Since it's not a gift but a purchase the allowable value is £18. It's just pot luck with the charges. I don't think they have time to do every single parcel...

Just a quick question for all you Croc lovers from a fellow croc lover!!

How long have people had/worn their Crocs before the soles wore smooth? I have had my crocs for about 6 weeks (and wear them all the time, 1st thing on the morning till last thing at night at the weekend and afternoons in the week) and the tread on the soles are starting to wear smooth and I'm concerned that i'm going to go right through the sole if I wear them for much longer. Any info from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

I've had my crocs for about 4 months and there is virtually no wear at all, mind you I only wear mine evenings and weekends as I prefer heeled shoes if I go out to work or even to the shops.

In case anyone is still looking for look a likes, I've just bought some 'Athens' fakes from Primark. They are almost identical in colours and style to teh real ones and are £3 a pair. I wouldn't buy fake caymans or beach style, but for £3 I couldn't resist these flip flop style. I particularly like them as my foot seems to fit inside the shoe as it sort of moulds round you. The bobbly insole is rather nice as well.

Thanks for your reply Soolin  - I think it must just be that they are never off my feet that the treads are smooth so quickly. It certainly hasn't put me off them - I think I may just have to buy a few more pairs and alternate them!!! Anyone know of any new deals/bargains around for them? Cheers

They are black (boring I know but practical for me!) and I so can't wait.

Will order Athens next if I get on with my Caymans which I can't imagine I won't! :T

I've been wearing mine constantly since October but I guess I alternate slightly as I can only wear certain ones to work & therefore wear the brighter ones for evenings & weekends only and therefore none of them are wearing out.
