Of course you're entitled to your own opinion - I happen to disagree. I have a laptop on order from them, and decided upon them after reading online reviews at places like TrustPilot. :)

To be perfectly honest, the deals do not seem that great. Their barebones PCs start at around £350, and for that money you should be able to pick up a complete package from a reputable manufacturer - Acer, HP, which would include monitor, keyboard and speakers, as well as having a warranty and access to support.

I agree with Andy - For my £400 or thereabouts expenditure in the summer of 2011:
    • Optiplex 580 base unit from Dell Outlet (via a link on their main page) http://www.dell.com/uk/dfh/p?s=dfh - This wasn't marked cosmetically and came with a 3 year on-site warranty. Came with Keyboard and Mouse, 2GB Memory, 250GB Hard Drive and Windows 7 Professional. The price on the 'normal' Dell webpage was almost double.
    • Extra 4GB Memory from eBay (HP Branded)
    • Dell 21" monitor - New and Boxed from eBay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/BenthamLtd
    • Dell Speakers plus Subwoofer - Perfect and paid £6 from eBay (Private seller - had to collect).
    • Full copy of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional plus from www.software4students.co.uk (OH doing a course at the local college so qualified).
Somebody will no doubt tell me I could have done better :( but I'm happy :) and the computer is working a treat.

Are you on some sort of wind up or do you actually work for them

I was prepared to consider your argument until you made that comment. :T
