That raises yet another anomaly, in that your statement isn't a general rule.
The charges for water delivery and waste water(sewerage) are simply a 'postcode lottery'.
In Severn Trent Area water supply costs 146.07p and waste water 88.60p. So whilst for you water is 'less than half the price' of waste water, for Severn Trent it is 65% more.
The prices for Water and Sewerage vary tremedously across the UK.
Those in the South West pay £5 per cu mtr + £60 service charge. to under £2 in other areas.0
