I was really excited when I found lots of shots at my local, C**d*ff B*y; but (trust me!) I read the back of the label, and They are NOT SUITABLE for VEGETARIANS!

Thought those of you out there who are like me, need to be aware of this before drinking any!

I had to put my stash back :-(

Oh no :( ! Can't believe it. I had got myself all geared up to do it tomorrow. Thanks for letting us veggies know! (I found animal collagen in a shampoo I bought from boots recently)

Finally decided to try this today :) Hoping some of you clever people can help me fathom out my savings please, here's what I bought :-

    8 x revitalise shots @ £1.99 each (3 for 2)
    7 x reenergise shots @ £1.99 each (3 for 2)
    3 x multivitamins @ 79p each (3 for 2)
    3 x vitamin C @ 79p each (3 for 2)
    3 x cod liver oil @ 99p each (3 for 2)
    6 x ricola @ £1 each (3 for 2)
    3 x colgate total @ £2.40 each (3 for 2)
    2 x boots baby wipes @ 98p each (2 for £1.85)
    2 x always @ £3.29 each (2 for £4)
    2 x boots cotton buds @ 35p each

I was expecting to pay around £10 for everything so was really shocked (but very pleased) when SA asked for £3.67 :eek:

  • I'm not going to bother going to a manned till again & no stores near me with SS

The SA knew exactly what he was doing & when he came to the 3 shots he did something to the till which meant I got them for free but no money off my bill! :(

So I think I paid about £1 for my vitamins , so not too bad , but could have done with some money off my shop to spend more in the sale! ;);)
  • The shots do work! Had one today and I'm still wide awake! Annoying though as I want to go to sleep.
  • The store I went to had no SS tills but SA didn't bat an eye when I went through with 2 different lots of 15 shots and vits, also sale and offer stuff on each lot. We were both shocked though at the length of the reciepts, second one was longer than my arm lol!

Where did you find the ricola? I was in this morning and didn't see them, but did find 6 vit shots (and zero of the 79p multivits, so maybe they restocked that after I left?).

As you go in the store, it was on your right - at the end of the aisles where all the other offers were. Loads of all flavours at lunch time. Way before you get to the pharmacy - think it was nearer the hair or facial bits.

Am I right in thinking there are only two 'end of aisle' things at the pharmacy end with the shots? Or are they hidden anywhere else?

Thanks. I've only seen two end of aisle displays, but I need to give a better look to the ends facing the pharmacy -- I didn't see any before, but I was in a hurry.

    15x shots (free with vits)
    3for2 shots x5 = £-9.95
    5for4 shots x3 = £-5.97
    3 x multivitamins @ 79p each (3 for 2) = £1.58
    3 x vitamin C @ 79p each (3 for 2) = £1.58
    3 x cod liver oil @ 99p each (3 for 2) = £1.98
    6 x ricola @ £1 each (3 for 2) = £4
    3 x colgate total @ £2.40 each (3 for 2) = £4.80
    2 x boots baby wipes @ 98p each (2 for £1.85)
    2 x always @ £3.29 each (2 for £4)
    2 x boots cotton buds @ 35p each = 70p

I make that £4.57 so close but not quite (maybe the ricola is also on 5for4 or something?) - probably gone slightly wrong somewhere but shows you how it works.

Cant believe you got away with that amount at a manned till...!

    Gary.
  • Be very careful this morning. I've just tried my daily 15 shots + 15 Ricola + bits at a ss till and whereas in the past the total never got above a tenner, I found myself with a balance of £25 with three shots left to scan. I left the bag and ran. Sorry, I never got a chance to check what the problem was as I panicked and just wanted to get out of there.

It does look like it is all over though.

Hope you all managed to fill yer boots as much as I have!!:D:D

The Ricolas are on offer at £1 from £1.45 but the 3 for 2 kicks in on the full price . You save an extra 45p per 3 you buy so, she was charged correctly according to the glitch, So a further 90p saving on you workings, Gazza!!:D
