If you buy 6x boots vitamin c tablets (79p) each and 6 x shots u will get £2.81 off the rest off ur shopping because aswell as the shots being in the 3 for 2 they r also free when u buy vitamins, hence the glitch

Yes, but that still doesn't explain it as that would be a £3.98 off the total of £3.16 which would only give you 82p off your shopping when it's clearly giving more!

    I bought six shots and
    3 x vit c at .79
    3 x cod oil at .99

    comes to £3.56

    also a £4.25 handwash and a £1 sandwich

    total £8.81

    came to £2.84 to pay

    didn't use any coupons...forgot!

I make that £5.97 off my shopping....sorry if that's wrong!

No, ilovecustard is right. S/He hasn't counted the shots and their shopping excluding the shots comes to £8.81.

    £8.81 - £2.84 = £5.97 saving.

You don't need to count the shots as they go on and straight off again. The saving is in the additional 3 for 2. When you buy 6 vits and 6 shots, it takes off all the 6 shots as free, fine. Then it takes off 2 more as 3 for 2, even better. It then seems to take off another one, showing as ***MULTISAVE*** on my receipt, so taking off 9 x £1.99 in total, hence the £5.97 off your shopping! :j

My receipt shows the same saving of £5.97 too - total should have been £10.14 - £5.97 - £1 (Boots ATM saving) = my total of £3.17.

Basically, if you're getting 6 lots of shots and 6 lots of value vits either multivits or vit C, the saving off your total bill will be £5.97 (although part of this will be taken up by the £3.16 cost of 6 value vits on 3f2) HTH!

    £8.81 - £2.84 = £5.97 saving.

But I am stating just the profit you make as you have to buy the shots & vitamins to get the glitch to work. Most ppl want to know how much they would need to spend on other shopping so that their total isn't left as a minus figure after buying just the shots and vitamins (priced under £2).

They didn't have to pay nothing for the shots & vitamins as with the discounts they worked out free ....plus a profit of £2.41

They just paid the remainder of the total of the £4.25 handwash & £1 sandwich they bought, should of been £5.25...but ended up paying £2.84

    so thats £5.25 - £2.84 ...(profit of £2.41)

So I would count that as getting the shots & vitamins free and then a saving of £2.41 off any other shopping..

Hi, Big thanks to the OP

Did Two transactions earlier and got a total of

    12 x Tubs of Vitamins
    12 x Vitamin Shots
8 X Cans of Shaving Foam

Total cost 75p should have been £35.75 !!! before discounts..

The simplest way to understand what you have to spend is ignore the cost of the shots as they are free and then they give you the discount as they are also on 3 4 2.

    If you buy

    3 x Shots you get £1.99 credit
6 x Shots you get £5.97 credit ( The till gives an extra £1.99 for some reason)

You still have to buy normal Vitamins on the 3 4 2 offer. The cost of these comes out of the above credit.

    For example
    Buy 3 x 79p tubs after 3 4 2 it will cost £1.58 (-£1.99) leaving £0.41p Credit to spend on anything else
    Buy 6 x 79p tubs after 3 2 4 it will cost £3.16 (-£5.97) leaving £2.81p Credit to spend on anything else

It would be fantastic if you only had to get 6 shots without any vitamins but as per an earlier post it seems to get all this to work you do have to buy tubs of vitamins as well...

Let hope its still working tomorrow... ;)

Edit : Update to say that if you cant find the vitamins but your store has the shots get them in 6's or 12's as they will be free

  • I went to my local big boots today and they were out of the shots. The small boots had plenty of shots but a smaller selection of vitamins and none at all for cheaper than £2.05.

I have read everything here and still can't figure out what I should have bought if the cheapest vits are £2.05.

    Can anyone explain it simply?

I think you'd have to pay just over 4GBP for 6 shots and 6 vitamins...?

    ca. 2GBP for 3+3?
