Hi 18 went through fine without any problems, I used the 7 voucher and the coupons from the points machine at the same time towards some other bits. Shopping came to 9.44p saving 86.pounds. I agree the best way is to buy other stuff you will use so that end balance is not near zero. SA really easy going and no problems. Not many cheap vits, so Ricola worked fine.
Also points machine voucher gave the 2 off mascara, so selected one of the 1.99's.
And finally clinique exchange done as a 4 in one go which will all be given to family. No appointment or details taken.

This all has the Lloyds 3 for 1, Tescos DTD and Boots. FCUK lipbalm feel to it.
  • Still working in my local Boots this morning.

    I got:

    6 shots
    3 Ricola £1 each
    3 Boots Essential Omega 3 99 p each
    Shampoo (used 25% off voucher)
N 7 nail varnish (used £5 off voucher)

    Paid just over £3 :)

Also I saw another vitamin item in a Boots yesterday that said 1 free with every purchase on the signage. It was in the same style packaging as the shots but it was a tube of effervecent tablets which were re-energise and revitalise.

I presume that these would work the same way as the shots glitch. what do you think??? I didn't try them as that store had plenty of shots left and doesn't have a self serve till:o

Yes, these were on offer previously (similar to Berrocca etc) and worked in the same way as the shots, buy one vit get these free but they then changed it (after a similar thing was happening to the shot thing at the mo) to one per transaction instead of one with any vitamin, may still work...:D

  • my store had the shots but only 14 on the shelf!! and has a self service checkout :j however when I was queuing the manned till was free and I had my earphones in ignoring her as I had my eyes on someone paying at the SS :o

will pop in again later to try to find multivitamins.
  • not sure if its been mentioned but if like me you have kind of stocked yourself up with these, but still have loads extra, they make great things to put in care packages for homeless shelters and womens refuges...... just an idea to think about.

  • Lol ^ i stalled when it happened to me, somebody went to the manned till so i shrugged my shoulders and said oh well, got 9 shots, 3 ricola and 6 vits, in todays visit, they keep restocking my ss shop, gonna check another shop on 3ay home, that will be it after that, purple ricola are nice, got a half price handwash, shapers rocky road, half price toothpaste, ladies bits and a half price deo for grand sum of £1.38 nice one.

Also gave away 4 shots and a tub of vit c tabs, my friend looked well shocked and said its a brand new tub! so i said, open your heart to receiving pmsl, a line somebody once used on me and i have never forgotten, lol

    Almost but not quite.

The shots are free and the shots give you money back! If you buy 3 shots there's also a 3 for 2 on them. If you buy 5 shots, there's an additional 5 for 4 offer on them. Buy 15 shots and you get both offers kicking in at the optimum rate i.e.

    5 x 3for2
    3 x 5for4

This means for every 15 shots you buy, not only are you getting the shots free, you are getting another 8 shots taken off your bill so an extra £15.92 ;)

If you manage to get 15 of the cheap 79p multivitamins or Vitamin C then you pay £7.90 for the vitamins and using the credit as shown in the previous paragraph, you have £8.02 towards your shopping.

okay so for me to get credit of £8.02 I need to buy 15 vitamins and 15 shots. Doubt my store will have that many :( but will try as I assume 6 of each will give you £2.80 credit also.
  • I went to my local boots today and it worked! i couldnt find the shots at first but then found them tucked away - the weird thing was as i went to get 3 the SA who was standing nearby started saying to me that those are on B1G1F and what a good deal it was and pointed me to more! i did it through SS and it did come up with unsold item but the SA just came and voided it. thank everyone for your help on this x

not to cause alarm, but i think this is coming to a end. i went into 2 different boots this morning. and sales girls in both stores told me, that the shots had been taken off sales due to techincal reasons :eek:. these 2 stores wernt close together either. about 25 miles apart. p.s i didnt drive 25 miles just to go to boots either, i had other things to do there.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

You just never know! I went to a small-ish store where there were 6 on the shelf. However as I went to the till, there were another 10 in a display there hence how I got 15 yesterday. My hauls have been 3, 3, 3, 6, 12, 15, 18. The store I got 18 in had another 18 the following day of which 6 were trouted from me and the other 12 I'd left sitting on the shelf.

I should also say that the 'credits' you talk about are based on only getting the 79p vitamins. Excluding the cost of the vitamins the credits are £5.97 for 6 and £15.92 for 15.
