LOL at all these haul pics! ...Lets hope Boots isn't looking at this thread!

From previous posts, it would seem Boots know about it but aren't concerned. I've been doing this for a week now so they're bound to have noticed by now that sales of shots & vitamins are up but profits are down :D

That lot (plus one shot I've drunk), 32 packs of baby wipes, 3 lots of No7 facial wipes, dummies and some Olbas stuff has cost just over £30 plus over £5 in points.
Wow, that is what I call a stash and completely dwarves my 39 of each!! I'd like to get a bit more today but have been in twice already and they have not replenished since yesterday.
Fingers crossed there might be some mileage in the effervescent vitamins?

Go on, post a pic :D Don't think there's any point in trying today given so few shops carry the shots and I took the few that they had at the weekend. I would like to point out that what I have there is to go around 4 adults and you'll see quite a few expensive vitamins as well so for me it's not so much about making a profit and having stuff I'll never use, it's about maximising my spending and getting stuff that my family can use.

    Eighth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Got it right today! Squeeeee - first succesful glitch for me!

    3 x Ricola sweets
    2 x 79p multivits
    1 x 79p vit c
    6 x shots
1 x Sushi, grapes and drink meal deal
    1 x Cheese sarnie

    Total payable £1.45

Now, wonder what I'm having for lunch tomorrow?
    Sealed Pot Challenge No 306
  • I've managed to get 36 of the shots so far (in batches of 6 and 12 at a time) together with assorted vitamins and the Ricola sweets (which I haven't tried yet!)

Sooo tempted to go out and try again and perhaps try 15 this time if that is the optimum number - it is too good to be true and amazed that it hasn't been fixed yet!

left the house about hour and 15m ago in search of my first vit shop.:j

no shots in store 1 ... second store i eventually found 3 abandoned shots ...no cheap vits at all. so went for the 'lemon sweets'

+ bought several other items that i needed anyway.

as soon as the SA saw the shots she said to the person next to her oh what did they say about these in this morning briefing? and the other SA was like two separate transactions. (ie all my stuff and the vits- pay- then another transaction just the shots)

then she called over a manager - very mean looking older woman-

i was like oh why is that they are free you know and she says oh head office have realised if we scan them all together you get money back.

then manager was like so do one shop first (as she watches over the SA and glares at me) then the lady can pay for them in seperate transactions.

usually i would have just said il leave it but there was a big q and the manager was looking over me like an evil headmaster... i just paid and walked off raging :P

moral of story for me - use SS ( none in my city) or unless i actually want the product dont buy it.

waste of £1.54 ( the sweets x 3) meh

I can't post a pic I'm afraid, to save space my daughter transferred the contents of the vitamins into less pots last night. Believe it or not, you can get the contents of four or five 79p pots into one, there is so much empty space in each pot.

I too am only stocking up with what I'll use. Vits for me and my two kids, shots for my wife and toiletries etc to replace my old DTD stash which has been getting smaller every day!!

Apologies for the wall that needs painted but here's a pic showing the shots & vitamins I got. Hopefully it will help someone and save some time looking for them.

That's quality ! :j I was chuffed with my 12 vits and shots I got at the weekend but they seem a bit feeble in comparison to your haul !

    Love the display :)

i reckon it will be store specific probably most SA wont take any notice - or time- to have to do two transactions :j

am I right in saying that the shots are free and the vitamins give you money back?

    Almost but not quite.

The shots are free and the shots give you money back! If you buy 3 shots there's also a 3 for 2 on them. If you buy 5 shots, there's an additional 5 for 4 offer on them. Buy 15 shots and you get both offers kicking in at the optimum rate i.e.

    5 x 3for2
    3 x 5for4

This means for every 15 shots you buy, not only are you getting the shots free, you are getting another 8 shots taken off your bill so an extra £15.92 ;)

If you manage to get 15 of the cheap 79p multivitamins or Vitamin C then you pay £7.90 for the vitamins and using the credit as shown in the previous paragraph, you have £8.02 towards your shopping.
