Eon variable DD?

It would be great if Eon (and other energy companies) offered an 8% discount for prompt payers who pay monthly, after submitting their meter readings.
It seems discriminatory that consumers are not allowed this discount, even though paying as soon as an accurate bill hits the virtual mat.
Have mentioned this point when Eon email surveys.
If paying by quarterly DD our bill for winter's heaviest quarter would be approximately £420 - and that's during a time when we haven't experienced harsh frosty conditions.
I do think that prompt payers (like ourselves) lose out when it comes to discounts and cheaper tariffs.0
