T Mobile, any one else had problems with contract length?.
I upgraded my contract in Dec 2010 with T Mobile over the phone direct. I agreed to an 18 month contract with 900mins unlimited texts. The sales agent matched another deal I had seen with another provider.
To my horror when for the first time logging onto my T Mobile in Dec2011 saw that my contract was for actually 24months. I contacted T Mobile and was told they would investigate the matter and I would receive a reply within 7 days. No one contacted me so I rang them again, spoke to a manager who said that my details had now been passed to another dept for investigation they would listen to the phone call I made when agreeing the contract and would be back in touch. He said he would personally keep man eye on my account as TMobile had had lots of complaint of the same nature. Once again no one rang me.
I have rang today and spoke to another manager who told me they couldn't do anything they cannot listen to calls as not all calls are recorded and calls that are recorded are only kept for 3 months. He said I would have received a new contract through the post from T Mobile which stated I was on a 24month contract.
I got out the box my phone came in and the correspondence that came with it, despatch note, terms and conditions booklet and what looks like 2 general mailing letters saying Thank You for upgrading. Apparently this is my new contract because it states 24 months in the wording.
The letter doesn't have my name on there is nothing stating my price plan or personal details it is just a standard piece of mailing that I mistook for junk mail as that is what it looks like.
I am furious I have been led well and truly up the garden path by T Mobile and also blatantly lied to by customer service and the manager who I spoke to previous.
BEWARE when upgrading.
Looks like I'm stuck with them for the time being but when this contract is done I will certainly NOT consider TMobile.

As noted before - it is the extension of the minimum term commitment (not the contract) that paus for the upgrade. The adage of 'nothing for nothing' remains true. Dealing on the phone has its pitfalls, especially when all you want is a shiny new phone, and the networks want to tie you down for as long as possible. As you discovered, it wasn't junk mail, just a confirmation that the minimum term had been reimposed - it was at this time you needed to complain and say the minimum term agreed was 18 month, not 24. Sadly, there's not a lot you can do at this stage - at least it is only another 24 weeks.0

Well seems like that the T mobile staff does need some vital training.
I also upgraded before Xmas 2011 and I was promised 900 min 500 txt and free internet for £35 and I will only have to pay £17.50 because I have advantage plan which gives me 50% discount. I asked the bloke TWICE.
But
Surprise Surprise No discount applied when Billed so I complained
I was told wait for it '' We can not listen to all the calls because not all the calls are recorded. We can not offer you discount because we did not offer it to you(So I am liar even though I gave them the time and date).
I am just so angry!!! I am thinking of writing to CISAS.0
