02@cpw contract cancellation
Options
Has anyone been able to successfully port their number away from the carphone warehouse, If yes how quickly were u able to receive you PAC, from the date you wrote to cancel , which address do I write to ,etc .I'm thinking of moving to t mobile. If I sign a contract with t mobile via e2save would I be billed directly by tmobile or carphone warehouse as is the case with o2 contracts?
Thanks in advance for your responses

you will be billed by t-mobile directly...
you can port into tmobile at any time by calling 150 and handing over your pac
Call O2 CPW 0870 111 7200
ask for a disconnection reference and the address to send a written letter into requesting PAC
from the day they receive your letter a PAC is issued usually within 48 hours!!!! I would call them first though as they tend to have some great deals at the moment!:beer:0 -
At risk of going a bit off topic but following up from what you might be offered if you call them for a PAC.
I called o2 at CPW today to get a PAC as I was going to get a new phone from Three. The guy at disconnections offered me a deal to stay - £35 a month but are giving me cashback (two payment direct into my bank account) of £230 total (could have taken £250 as cashback but I prefer not to risk forgetting such things as sending bills away to get it). I currently pay around £40 pm with £35 of that rental with inclusive calls and text.
Put my calls allowance up from 250 to 600 and it now includes calls to some non-standard numbers such as 0870 (but not premium lines). Text also increased from 50 to 500. I don't always use what I currently have so he really pressed my buttons with the non-standard number thing and giving me the International Traveller service for free (normally £3 a month). This gives me calls at local mobile rate apparantly (he said about 20p per min in Spain).
Oh and there is the new Nokia N73 phone too.
I thought I did ok there but I'd be interested in what others think (still time to cancel I suppose).
On the plus side my line rental won't be £45 (once cashback finished on Three) but on the downside I won't get the Skype access, £5 of downloads monthly and the orb and slingback TV services (did like the idea of watching footie when I'm supposed to be working). mmmmmmmmmmm mixed feelings.
Anyone know if o2 are likely to bring out a similar service allowing skype and slingback?0 -
GREAT DEAL...
however... There isn't a chance in cancelling unfortunately..
You have a 7 day return on the handset under Distance selling regulations. But... you have accepted the extension on the agreement
This meaning if you have changed your mind you are still held to the commitment but you do get the option to swap the handset you were sent to an alternative model.
Dont worry though... lets be honest!
NOKIA N73 600 MINS 500 SMS... with auto cashback of £230
18 X £35 - £230 = £400 / 18 MTHS = £22.22 per month!
Thats a pretty decent deal if you ask me:beer:0 -
I've got to agree with the above , thats a pretty decent deal doubt i' get offered something similar though, cos i'm only looking for a 12 month contract.0

Thanks for the feedback on it. I'm obviously fairly happy about it - just aware that on MSE I've often seen posts from people who think they have a good deal only to find other people are getting better and thought its worth checking that I haven't fallen into that category.
The additional service on three of slingbox etc had some appeal hence the mixed feelings but at the end of the day I know its a good deal.
A good chunk of my motivation for posting it also is to let other people know what they might be able to get.
Good luck on getting a 12 months deal Kaz250 as a lot of the deals out there seem to be 18 months.0
