Hi
I cant find this product on their website, directly or from martins boiler cover page!
Only a page for existing customers.
Sounds a good deal for 7.95 pm
Please help with finding the link.

Aviva Home Emergency is just a re-branded Homeserve policy. (Homeserve are the back end for a LOT of other companies home emergency policies)0

http://www.aviva.co.uk/library/pdfs/home/NHDEM1112.pdf
quote:
We will arrange for an Approved
Contractor to carry out an Emergency
Repair, or a Permanent Repair if it is a
similar price, up to a maximum of
£500 including
only guarantee is a temporarry repair..... and what exactly is a similar repair!

it says a similar price not repair.
They're emergency policies not full blown insurance policies, so they're there to get you up and running again. So if it's £500 for a temporary fix or £400 for a permanent fix, they'll do the permanent one.0 -

typo!
One of the most expensive repairs on a boiler is replacing a heat exchanger which is around £400.
Still a load of guff.
temporary repair £50... permenant repair £100.... i doubt they will do. its not similar, its double the costPromo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0 -
But there are some permanent repairs that can be done for the same price. If it's just a washer or a split pipe or a blah blah blah, then a permanent repair can be done... but that's just a side issue of the policy as the policies are really just 'get you back up and running' policies.
I wouldn't use any Homeserve product myself either though... even when I worked for the clowns I didn't have one of their 'free' policies.0
