It comes with a seal & inflate repair can. Or you call a breakdown service.

  • Is it common for cars not to come with a spare anymore?

Mind you the last car I bought was a Fiat Punto back in 1996! :rotfl:

I think it's to do with fitting the seats in & getting them to also lie flat. :D

The first car has done far too few miles for a modern diesel engine, probably only used for pottering around town, chances are it will have never run a DPF regeneration cycle so that will be all nicely clogged up and about to fail leaving you a bill of over a grand to sort out.

The second car is a much safer bet. at 15K per year it's probably seen a few motorway runs to get the DPF up to temperature and sorted out. For a difference of under £500 on a 12K car I'd go for the second, in short.

    Better seats
    Better engine
    Newer car
    Less risk of DPF failure
    Still some OEM warranty left??

If you really hate the leather seats, I'm sure you could find someone willing to swap them for cloth seats plus cash.

You need to check if these engines do have DPF filters fitted.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

    ...just one other thing.

It seems that the S Max does not come with a spare wheel.

I thought all cars did..? What are you supposed to do if you have a blow out somewhere??

Behind the driver's seat there is a false floor. In that compartment you will find the 'tyre seal' can and a other equipment. Make sure they are all there and the can is not empty. It is known for some owners to carry a spare tyre in the boot.
