Sky 3D Package Question.

A neighbor just got a HD TV & rang Sky to get the 3D turned on,he already has the HD pack, sports ESPN ect,but no movies.
He was told that he had to take the movies in order to have the 3D pack so he got them for £2.50 a month.
Now I know you need the Sky World HD pack to get the 3D but I didn't think that included the movies.
Can anyone clarify please?

Sky World does include the Movies packages - Sky World is basically everything except for ESPN, Premier Sports, MUTV, Adult Channel/TVX and a few of the non-English language channels.
Sky's 3D page says...
"As well as a 3D ready TV, you need a Sky+HD box and Sky World with the HD Pack. Sky World means all our TV channels with Sky Entertainment Extra, Movies and Sports Packs."0 -
So thats £63.25 / month, and there is only one 3D channel? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

He bought a Sony Bravia in the sales & TBH,the polava you have to go thru to watch a 3D channel (go to 3D,set channel as this, press that, click this) plus the actual picture itself thru the glasses,I have to say I'm not impressed with it.
I gather my neighbor was under the impression you got more channels than just the one as well...0 -
Yeah as said there is only one 3d channel with Sky and you need the Sky World package which is every channel (besides ESPN etc.)
Its a bit of a rip off and there is a debate going on over at the Sky forums as people are stating why should the have to pay for movies and sports for an extra £20 odd a month for the sake of one channel when they may possibly never even watch the sport or movies channels. A better idea was suggested that there should be more than one 3d channel, lets say 2, if you already subscribe to sports then you can watch the sports 3d one and ditto if you already to subscribe to movies. I'm sure it will happen as HD was hit and miss and full of complaints at the beginning but now it is just a one off £10 a month on top of the package it's a better choice.0 -
