    EBAY :D

Depends on what you REALLY want to do. SO you want to blast the neighbours out, or just for your own listening?

If for own listening, then the Creative Labs 5.1 is good enough

Shaun, I just want to have speakers around the house (own enjoyment, not neighbours) without the wires and the Creative ones on Amazon suggest you need a 5.1 sound card, so that is what I need to get :D
Sorry to be a pain, would I (a non techie) be able to fit it?:o

  • Honestly, yes you should. It can only go in one way and just as long you are gentle, but firm, and hold it flat, and simply push it in, you "should" be on.

DO NOT put it in at an angle, alway horisontal

If when you get it, give me a shout if you wish, I will guide you through it.

That card will so fine. Download music, now thats a whole new ball game. The PCI "Thingy" :D is the type of card you are using or buying. To download to your MP3 player, you will need either the data cable that came with your mp3 player, or your MP3 player plugs straight into your USB Slot.

USB Slot are usely at the back and / front of PC. A longish thin slot. On the back of your PC there is "usually" a cluster of 4 of them together.

Just to clear this up a little. You are buying a 5.1 Soundcard PCI.

You don't need PCI anything to download music to your MP3 Player

Right, now your confusing me LOL. You plug in your MP3 player, select the tracks you want to download and move them to your MP3 player from PC?

Where does your MP3 player plug in? If it plugs into your USB slot, then sorry nothing you can do, as your USB slot is either 1.1. or 2 already. If 2 already, then thats the highest there is. If 1.1, then you will need major surgrey and expense to fix that.
