Check your dates, it's going into dry dock soon to have the hull repainted, so may not be an option.
Food-wise, check out The Bonham - slightly outwith the centre, but worth a visit.
Kitchin and other well-regarded restaurants are to be found at The Shore, in Leith. The Plumed Horse has just lost its Michelin Star, as I recall, so they'll probably be trying extra hard at the moment to excel and regain it......0 -
The HAIRY COO (hairy cow) do a free tour from Edinburgh into the highlands and it is excellent I could not recomend them enough.
The tour guides have all had years of experiance with other tour guides before setting up this business with an excellent business model.
The tours are free and you pay what you feel the tour is worth at the end, as a result they work bloody hard and provide the best tours possible. Really was no pressure to cough up at the end of the tour and our guide (Don) was fantastic, the only problem we had was that my gf and I felt bad only being able to pay £30 between us as things were somewhat tight at the time (other tours wanted upwards of £40PP.

The Royal Yacht is closed in January, looks like it is open at Easter. Admission £11.75 adult, open 10am to 3.30pm. It is brilliant, I loved it. You get a handset, press the buttons to hear the comentary as you walk from room to room, take as long as you like. It's very interesting.
IlonaI love skip diving.
