Today is my first NSD of 2012 :-)
    • I made my own lunch at work instead of popping out - had a lovely jacket spud with cheese and beans - estimated cost - 90p, and I still feel full 4 hours later.
    • I'm working 2¾ hours overtime - not a lot but it's all I'm allowed to do so every little helps.
    • Then I'm going to walk home instead of getting the bus - that's £1.60 saved.
    • I'm looking for 'roadkill' coinage - found a penny earlier - it's a start :rotfl:
    • When I get home I'm going to look at ways to earn extra cash - ebay, surveys etc.
    • I'm also doing lots of comps from the comps board - worth a try at least - if nowt else I might get some birthday pressies sorted...
    • I'm also going to phone 3 and cancel my mobile broadband contract that I rarely use - £8 a month saved.
    • Just signed up for membership of Co-op - I do a bit of shopping there - thanks to cod3 for inspiration :)
    Regards,

    I have had two NSD's in a row! :)
    Which is fantastic for me.

I needed some tinned tomatoes today though for spag bol (had everything in, frozen mince from the reduced aisle ;)), and I was visiting my grandparents (who are extremely rich, have no idea of my debts as I don't want to disappoint them) and just asked my gram off-hand in a casual way if she had any tinned tomatoes spare as I wanted to avoid the shops, she gave me two tins of smart price which she'd had for ages that were never going to get eaten!

I've also made the most of the time off that I've had by keeping my driving distance to an absolute minimum.

Small, slow but steady wins the race!

Got home and the internet ain't working - good job I've not cancelled this yet...

On a brighter note I found 2p languishing in a savings account, so i transferred it into my current a/c, and used it to make a tiny payment on one of my CCs... They'll think I'm taking the proverbial but every little helps!

    Evening all,

Have had a smashing day today:

    - Gundoggery training this morning, cost nowt and went really well!
    - Lunch was a sausagey, tomatoey pastry thing I made yesterday followed by the last of the christmas cupcakes OH made.
    - Had an afternoon of dog walking and uno playing with friends which again was free and muchly fun.
    - Nipped to shops for bread and milk, got some reduced pasties for OH's lunches this week.
    - Checked online banking
    - Checked CC statement and it is nice and low (always pay off in full as it's just for diesel)
    - Drying clothes on airers on the radiator.

Hope everyone who is back to work tomorrow has a good day :-)
