Morning guys  (just!) Thanks for starting us off NTBY - so sorry to hear about the robbery, but good to see you rose above it and didn't let it spoil it for you. Re the chilli have it with whatever you have, we had it with LO mash yesterday so as not to be wasteful!

Re smoking - I started again in July but was too ashamed to fess up on here after all the lovely support & encouragement I got
so I just kept it quiet.... Have only myself to blame for the next few days...
Plans for today:- check banking x 2 - ditto WW no change but know there should be!
- NSD - first of the year, yesterday was supposed to be one but ended up bidding & winning a sewing machine on ebay :T
- have just soaked some split peas to make some soup later to use up ham that needs eating

- go for a run :T
- not smoke

- go for a walk with oh
- will get chicken out of freezer for dinner tomorrow & will prep the veg tonight so can chuck in the SC in the morning

- stay away from the grabbit board

That's my lot - need to sort out clothes for the morning & things I need to take to work. And read my book :T
Have a lovely day y'all xDF as at 30/12/16

Hi everyone,
I did hardly anything over the weekend, terrible! What a waste of time, I am feeling far more energised today though so hopefully I can make up for lost time & do all that I need to do today.
Thank you NTBY for starting us off, glad you had a great time in Jinja but I'm sorry for hear about the theft, as long as you are safe though that's what's important. We've served chili over pasta before so I wouldn't worry!
Stitchy - Glad you're feeling positive, much better way to start a year!
Lilian - I'm not sure when the next free listing day is, sometimes I get an email sometimes I don't...but if I do I'll post on here. I hope it's soon as I really need to get on & clear my huge ebay pile! Even if everything only went for 99p I'd probably be £100 up
OrangeFairy - I used to use Expense Manager, I must admit I've not been very good at keeping up with it though
Shame on me as there's no excuse - always got my phone on me!
DNMS - Oh bless you, you should know by now the people on this thread won't judge you! You did brilliantly to last as long as you did, & think of the postives - all the money you saved, your health, etc. If you lasted 6 months before you can do it again, so keep up the good work & hopefully this time your 6 months will turn into a lifetime.
Today I have/will:-- [STRIKE]Made my first homemade juice using the juicer OH bought me for xmas[/STRIKE] - wasn't that bad actually! & it has made me feel more energised & so far, it has not flared up my IBS which is a good sign! It's actually filled me up pretty well too so no need for brekkie

- Check out this week's flylady thread [STRIKE]& do something[/STRIKE][STRIKE]! That floordrobe has got to go today...[/STRIKE]
- Go through wardrobe to get rid of 1 item for every new item I have bought in the sales - I want my wardrobe to only be full of items that fit & look good on me! - I couldn't decide what to get rid of as I've chucked everything that no longer fits on the ebay pile...so I have turned every hanger the wrong way round & as I wear things throughout the next 6-12 months, I will put them back the right way. Anything still facing the wrong way after that time period is outta here! I can't decide if I should go with 6 or 12 months though! Lol
- Work on wedding related tasks
- [STRIKE]DIY IPL treatment[/STRIKE] - cheaper than paying a "pro" to do it, especially as I used a lot of vouchers/bonus points coupons to pay for it!
- [STRIKE]Washing on eco setting[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hang up to dry[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Pack away xmas decs carefully so they don't get broken & are fine to use again[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Use the last of the free washing up liquid[/STRIKE]
- Try & go to bed an hour earlier, I don't get enough sleep & this is the year I will get healthier so I look & feel better
- [STRIKE]Found about £2.50 worth of change whilst tidying, so have popped that into my piggybank for now[/STRIKE]

Afternoon all
Can't decide if today has been mse or not. The four of us (me, OH and kids) have been for lunch together. We had vouchers and we've all been fully fed and watered for the day for £22.50. I took the cash so I wouldn't be tempted to spend more but it feels like a pretty big spend in one go all of a sudden. However, it does mean that OH now has to foot the massive first-day-back-at-school payment that dd has at the beginning of a new term.
Other things:
Checked bank
2x washing done and on airer
All Christmas decorations down and put away
Ironed enough school uniform for the week
Flylady level 3
Dug out a big bag of coats. Not sure if it's worth ebaying them or not
Dreading going back to work tomorrow. I've enjoyed my fortnight off and don't feel ready for it at all.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Today I
- set up a dd to pay my TV licence over 6 months
- registered my Nectar card
- signed up for an Iceland bonus card
- signed up for a Co-op membership card
- linked my Mint mastercard to my current account and made a payment without having to phone them (I hate phoning them so this should be more painless and trackable)
- added more to my fabulous, new money spreadsheet
- had a no shopping/driving day0
