  • ..I have to disagree. There are a lot of people out there that take a great deal of notice as to what a card "LOOKS LIKE". Many of the credit card companies appreciate this and design is therefore very important. Take, for example, PLATINUM cards, which can basically be obtained by anyone now and no longer a "status" symbol. Sad, but true!!

Why on earth should it matter what a card looks like? You're right that a number of card companies do indeed try to lure customers their way by using this tactic, but personally if that's all it takes to attract someone to a particular card then more fool them

True, but if your in the habit of paying the balance each month and they dont charge you for having the card, you can afford to be picky as to what it looks like.

I used to find how the girls always commented how nice my Amex Blue looked when I had one ;)

I think it worked more then any chat up lines I ever used! :rotfl:
  • ok. Maybe it's just me then (and the other person who posted to this effect earlier) but my view is that it's rather shallow to pick a card simply by how it looks. Even if one does pay it off each month, surely there are more important things to consider in choosing a card provider.
  • The Cahoot Credit Card looks quite pretty...
