Confused - best activation & BB deal?

I have just moved and need to get a line activated and get quick Broadband asap.
Also want a recordable TV facility (ideally with HD) - freesat would be fine.
Any idea what my best option is? I am likely to move again in 7 months so don't want any 18m contracts.
I cannot figure out after connection fees and purchase price of freesat PVR vs sky etc what my best option is?
Can anyone confirm is sky BB no different in speed to any other BB? According to BT I am likely to only get 2mb BB but sky is promising 20mb?
Any help appreciated!

Go to www.samknows.com and do an exhange search for your LLU options, if Sky is available LLU on your exhanage then it is a good option. However almost all line rental contracts are 12m-pleny of 30 days broadband ones, though you'll pay more.
TV: if you don't want any of the subscription channels, then it's pointless to pay Sky for a TV sub, especially as it's a 12m minimum contract. Better to make a one-off investment in a Humax PVR, either Freesat or Freeview platforms, depending on your preference and if there is an aerial or dish already installed. No free lunch, and no free laptop
