Thanks guys

It is so cold this morning. Brrr. It was -3 degrees driving to work this morning, my water squirter things squirted water on the windscreen and then froze!
I've brought some lentil and bacon soup with me for lunch today, which I'm so glad about! It'll warm me up at lunch time. I also may have a mince pie

I have also lost a lb this week! :j I'm so glad it's Friday6

My soup is just from a tin - once we've moved and settled, I want to start making my own soups, but a tin will have to do for now!
I'm trying not to stress, but things are beginning to get to me at the moment. I feel a list coming on.... just so I can get my head around what needs to be done ASAP and what can wait and hopefully make a POA then which will make me feel better.... in theory

Brrr. So cold today.
We're having roast chicken dinner followed by apple crumble and custard today - it's just that kind of day. Chicken already smells amazing
Need to write a POA later regarding christmas cards/presents as I feel like I'm not very organised this year.
Looking forward to this week - it's my birthday on Thursday

Had to drive to work in the snow today  and it took me 40 minutes longer than normal! Set off at 7:15am, didn't arrive until 8:35am
Need to do some food shopping today as didn't get chance to over the week. I've brough some minestrone soup with me for lunch today, along with a chocolate teacake. Yum! Currently supping a cuppa as I didn't get chance to have one before I left today.
Right, I feel like I'm all rushed this morning, best get on!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Gah, having a wobble about money, as per usual.
At the moment, me and DH have a good combined wage. My new job, which starts in January, is permanent, but what does that actually mean? It's permanent for now, but it might not be a few years down the line. Sooner than that if something bad happens.
I have spent a while this evening doing a "worst scenario" SOA and to be honest, it's a bit scary
DH says that I shouldn't worry about it, that I need to focus on the positives, and we'll cross that bridge if it happens. But, in my head, I feel like we need to be slightly more prepared. I've already got an emergency fund set up, with a figure in mind what I want it to reach before we leave it alone. I also want to overpay the mortgage (whenever we finally get it!) as much as possible, especially in the first year or so, so that we save interest on it.
I also want to try and put some money in my ISA, if not DH's ISA too, but we only earn so much and there's only so many different places it can be spread.
When we go food shopping, I keep buying an extra tin of something and check that everything we're buying is a good deal. We don't spend a lot at all; if it came to it, there's not much that we could cut back on. We could make cutbacks, and we'd survive, but it wouldn't be very fun.
Any thoughts anyone? It really does stress me out
