DFW - hope you have a great time! :)

Another NSD for me today, not been anywhere :) just going to relax this evening, might pop a dvd on if there's nothing to watch on tv!

I was thinking of you last night when hubby & I were watching a movie because I remembered you saying that you were going to have a date with hubby one night in the week. Yesterday hubby got a telephone call from Sky offering movies and sports for 6 months for £14 a month so we took it out because last week we went to the cinema and it was their cheap night, £3.20 each for admission, but with one drink and one bag of maltesers it was an additional €5.50 (the cinema is on the border so it takes both currencies).

Now we have our date night back again, as I told hubby what you had said, and we are doing it in MSE style! Thanks!

Glad to be helpful :D Now, more importantly, what film did you watch?

Seriously though, I do love our date nights, even if it is just watching a dvd on the tv! :)

It was called "The Change Up". We hadn't seen it before and it was nice to get a chance to watch a movie together at home without someone arriving, the telephones ringing...

It was fine. It was about two men, one who was single and the other was married with two children, who happened to be out for the night and they used a fountain as a toilet. While using the fountain they both wished they had each others life and as they did so all the lights around them went out and when they came back on they were in each others body. They then lived in each others body until they went back to the fountain which had been moved. At the end of the movie they got back into their own bodies and were glad to have done so. Basically they realised that although the grass looked greener on the other side it really wasn't!

Aw thats lovely that you had a date night Jo :D - and i like those kind of films too the changing places type things :)

Yeah i try and make sure now that i get a date night / day in once a month now - basically just trying to make sure we get some quality time together. What with our shifts and hobbies and going out on our own sometimes with just friends we are lucky if we see each other twice a week - and we live together! just don't want those 8 days (if that) to be household chores (me) and just doing necessary stuff rather than the fun stuff. I am conscious too that my debt is my debt - my fella doesn't even know about it :o and because of this and my low income since i was made redundant and struggled to find a new job (wages now vastly less than what they were) there was a long time where i just had to say no to all going out etc. as i couldn't afford so i do also feel a bit guilty about that time that was 'lost' to the debt :o A good thing though is that we can now go for a long walk together or even sometimes run  and its nice to share this time together rather than the usual 'the phone bills come, what is the next maintenance job, etc. etc. conversations

squidgy - thanks :) I'm enjoying them too! haha :D

    Jo - that sounds a bit like 13 going on 30 :)

DFW - I think that having some time where you don't have to talk about work, or bills, or what needs doing next, and just enjoy being in each others company, is such a good thing :) life is so busy most of the time, that it's important to slow down once in a while!

taxi - thanks, as always, for your comments :)

Well, I need to go into town today for some things, and I also need to get some petrol, so today isn't going to be a NSD. I might pop into primarni and see if I can get some cheapo shoes for holiday :) I also need to pop to the bank and the phone shop too. So, can't be wasting too much time on here! :o

I ordered two bikinis to take on holiday with me and they arrived this morning and  they look okay, just could do be being a size 6 and 6ft tall ;) oh well, not much I can do about that now...!
