Hehe thanks taxi
Well, we had a nice relaxing weekendwent with my MIL and SIL for a coffee on Saturday and I paid - it feels nice to know that we can relax slightly with the finances and that I can afford to do that occasionally now
woo!
On Sunday DH's parents treated us to sunday lunch out as a well done to meso I got garlic mushrooms to start and then roast lamb dinner as the main - was amazing! Nom nom nom
and of course, free
which is always a bonus!
Can't believe it's Monday again though - this year is going so quickly  I'm hoping for a NSD today, as I don't need anything so just have to avoid the shops on the way home...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

It's been NSD 11 in the SF household today
it won't be one tomorrow as I need to get some petrol on the way home, which will be about 50 quid  meh to rising prices on that.
I've transferred £54.33 over into savings todayI'm trying to drip feed the house deposit savings atm, so that's just the round down of accounts, plus a bit extra. I've been thinking about short/medium/long term plans today and where I want us to be in X amount of year.
Part of that transfer of money means that I've made our emergency fund upto the round £1,000.00 which makes me feel better. It's a good milestone to have hit, and I'm going to also continue to drip feed into this as the weeks/months go on. I'm aiming for £5,000.00 in there in the long run, but this will obviously take a long time. As we're also focused on the house deposit, it's a bit of a battle as to where we're putting spare monies atm. The vast majority of it is going towards to the house deposit - the sooner I can get that to £20k the better, but I am also aware that having an emergency fund will also be good - I drive an old banger of a car, and it could go at any moment, so to have something as a back up "just in case" is always at the back of my mind.
Phew, bit of a ramble there!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Thanks taxi
Yup, as I'd thought, I will need to get petrol on the way home from work today. I will pop to Mr Ts to get some bits and pieces, since I'm already spending today, so hopefully the rest of the week will be NSDs.
Been awake since about 5am this morning - not sure why? So I'm sat in the office drinking a big cup of coffeeI do not need a biscuit... I do not need a biscuit... I do not need a biscuit...

So ....... did you have one then?:D
Huge well done on the savings :T:T:T - my emergency fund never seems to get off the ground:( started it Oct '11 - used in full (and raided another budget too) in Dec as fridge / freezer packed in.
Got it started again and I'm going to have to raid it for Maisie's emergency vet trip last Friday as her fund's just been wiped out paying for her spay op last week:eek:
Still .... on the positive side - £250 for the new f/f, £200 for the op & £100 (so far!) for the vet trip would've all just been showed onto a cc bill before I'd seen the lightGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
rising - definite yes to the biscuit
oops
and the thing about the emergency fund is that it's there when you most need it - so you've used yours in the right way
and not had to put it on the CC which is definitely what it's all about! So well done you
Aamberle - thanksI try my best!
Not been the best day...here's to tomorrow being a lot better
