Is this safe? I have bought one, using PayPal to limit the damage, but if I clear history and try to log into the HP site via Quidco, it says it doesn't know me. Am I going to the wrong HP site? Am a bit anxious now... HP customer services is closed today...

    Thanks squaredoggy1

I can confirm that I did the same as you - followed your link - placed item in the basket - Saved the basket and logged out.
Went into Quidco - through to the HP site and recovered my basket which still had the printer in it and bought it.
Have checked back through Quidco and the sale has been tracked by them so got the extra discount.

Logging into the HP site and finding the printer on their normal sales page only brings up the option to buy it at £39 - their January Sale Price.

The OP has found another way into the site to buy it cheaper - just follow the instructions on my post above to get it at £25 less the Quidco cashback.

Thanks. I've done that. When I first went back to HP from Quidco, I could access my account. But now I have cleared the history and tried again, I am unable to access my account. And when I ask it to tell me my password again, it tells me my username is unregistered, although I have TWO e-mails (registered twice, once via quidco link and once via the HDUK link) confirming my user name and saying: '[FONT=&quot]Your password, if not already received, will shortly be sent to you in a separate email. For security, please keep your user name and password confidential.' But no further e-mail has arrived and I am unable to find a HP website which accepts my username. For these reasons I am anxious about whether this is a genuine link and would be very reassured if someone else who has followed the HDUK link can delete their browsing history and can still access their account.

I am presuming that paying with PayPal has given me protection, but am feeling a bit paranoid...!!

I have tried to emulate your problem by clearing my cookies and then going to the HP website and logging in and have had no trouble in doing so.

I have no suggestion as to a solution other than contacting HP by other means and explaining the problem.

The terms and conditions from the HP website, the website this offer is on is for HP staff, so you probably will not get this at this price.

That is really helpful. Thank you very much, both of you. Will phone HP in the morning and see what happens... At least it isn't a scam site, so I am peaceful again!
