Turkey

Yesterday we have been given half a side of Turkey which they cant face anymore of it was intended for our dogs (its good stuff too not scraps). They tell me they had a few slices on Friday and it was fine. Its been in the frige since it cooled on Christmas day but thats now a week ago and its in our fridge now.
We dont have much else in until I get a delivery for the week tomorrow from the supermarket and I was wondering if it would be safe or silly to have some Turkey tonight with some salad as theres little else left to eat.
Is it safe to eat a week later?
Thanks

I wouldn't eat any meat a week after it had been cooked even if it had been refrigerated.0

Thanks for the advice just as I suspected so I think I better chuck it, it is a waste and a shame but better safe than sore eh!?Failure is only someone elses judgement.

Crikey! We must have been dicing with death as children. Cooked Christmas meats were kept in a pantry, not even a fridge because we didn't have one, and eaten over a week later.0

I didn't keep my turkey in the fridge after it was cooked - didn't have the room - it was kept covered in our garage which is cold.
I cooked it boxing day and have had the usual sandwiches, curry and then soup - ok - it wasn't a week that we had kept it, but out of the fridge for at least 5 days and we are all ok.
I remember (as a youngster) my mother keeping it under foil in the spare bedroom!!0
