aol bouncing emails to hotmail addresses ?

used to have bt landline and then aol as isp .. but following mve have phone/broadband with virgin .... but continue to log in to aol and use aol email address & email system .

Last few weeks everytime i email someone with a hotmail address , the email bounces back undelivered

example of message ...

Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 SC-001 (SNT0-MC4-F43) Unfortunately, messages from xxxxxxxxxxxx
weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider
since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your
provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

checking the code , detail says
" Mail rejected by Hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help."


Failed so far trying to get any sense / explanation out of aol help centre

Any ideas what / why ? .. most importantly how do i fix / sort ?

Tis a big problem !

Address you are sending to has blacklisted or using a blacklist that is rejecting message from AOL ..

Contact AOL is the answer .

I suggest you switch to Gmail if you no longer use AOL broadband-then you'll no longer be ISP-dependent.

AOL and Hotmail emails have had issues for many years now, to a point where AOL users were effectively living in their own email world as the servers rejected (or at least felt like it) anything that wasn't an AOL address.

It might be a big problem to you, but unfortunately not a lot you can do about it. You will need to speak to AOL.

It isn't an AOL issue so much as a Hotmail issue in my view.

Hotmail are very quick to delay or reject messages from other ISPs.

What with the suprprisingly frequent hacking of Hotmail addresses and this delivery issue I recommend getting an alternative e-mail address to Hotmail users if they want to get e-mails reliably.
