OR are you like Aesop is (was?) ? With your settings "newest first" so that the threads are UPSIDE DOWN :rotfl:

Aesop said "I changed my settings so I always see the newest post first. Rather than having to go to the end of the thread to look for new posts.

Which is odd anyway, but more so if you STILL DO NOT search for the last post you actually read and pick up the "conversation" from where you "left it" and follow on in sequence.

Quoia, I read a lot of threads, currently subscribed to about 66, and with some I just found even going to new post, meant I was reading things I didn't want to and having to scroll through to posts I did.

it works for me, reading this way, so I'm happy :D

ok BW i'll start it off but i'm sure CW or A have a few squirrelled away

i have 2 small ones from yesterday

    Asda £1.39 & 66p

I don't get many wombled receipts from my asda anymore, they are meticulous about keeping store and car park clean... wonder if it has anything to do with the amount of MS going in there

Mine is so small I only shop there for certain things. I stick to sainsburys and iceland at the mo, with a few trips to tesco.

I tend to womble sainsburys and tesco receipts for the points.

    hi NTF
there is no thread as such
basically ( like the wombles if you remember them)
you retrieve disgarded reciepts from asda/tesco car park/trollies
and run them through the price checkers

if you need the links for these they are on 1st pages of coupon thread

as i know have an asda in my home town, think i would like to give this a try is there a thread explaining the wombling/APG so i can read up a bit as not quite sure how it all works :embarasse:embarasse

sorry, no real threads as it is too big a thing for letting tesco and asda know what we do.

Basically when you are out and about, you check out the floors and trolleys for discarded till receipts from Tesco or Asda stores. These can also be found randomly in the street miles away from a store

You quickly pick these up and hide them in your bag/carrier bag and keep walking and don't look around to see if anyone is watching.

You get home and very quickly type in the receipt details into

    http://shop.asda.com/asda-price-guarantee/?cmpid=ppc-yah-ghs-price_guarantee-brand-advanced

    or https://www.tescopricecheck.com/PriceCheck/Pages/Default.aspx

and then hope these prove fruitful and you get some decent returns out of them, ie £2.50 and £5 etc.

I wombled a £2.20 Sainsburys price check which was very handy :D good luck with your hunt.

When you say checked it do you mean you checked the amount on it or just checked you had it? If you checked the balance of it then the no should still be in where you checked the balance on the computer that you used before. If you start typing in the no the rest should appear, assuming this is the only Tesco Gift Card you have had? All Tesco Gift Cards start with 5045

I only checked i had the gift card- it is a sort of nervous habit- checking everything a dozen times. I opened my bag took the card out to check I had it and put it back. I must have missed my bag and dropped it on the floor.

Tesco had promised me a call back whether or not it was found, but I heard nothing.

On an unrelated matter, I had some old Tesco receipts, plus the one from yesterday that I checked on their price match thingy online. I put my email address in and the message is that they email you - but i've heard nothing. So do they only email if there is a price match, or should i get a 'sorry we were the cheapest' email?
