Just bought TV license online and it says it expires in 11 months!

I was going to say I got cuaght like this too, when I purchased my first one. I stupidly got it towards the end of Sept and as a result it expires end of August every yr. However seeing as you brought yours at the begining of the month, you should've avoided this. As some one else said maybe their systems haven't caught up and been updated.
