I'd have called them as soon as you got the meal. But as everyone above says, move on and make sure you don't go there again!

If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Its a local takeaway, rather than email and keep the food in the fridge, I would have just gone back to them!

i have already given bad reviews on every website i can think of.

So the restaraunt now has no upside in sorting out any resolution for you. You have shot your bolt.

I'd have called them after it was 30 minutes late. :)

    Hello there,

I recently bought a takeaway from our local indian which was terrible, nothing good about it at all, it was 1 hour late, no taste and expensive so i tried to ring them after we recieved our order but no answer and on their leaflet it does say if not happy please contact us so asap i sent an email, this was on tues 27th decemeber and still no reply. what can i do? is it worth still complaining? Thanks in advance xx

Is this a place you've used before or was it your first time?

I agree with hcb42 - being 'expensive' is not a cause for complaint.

I'd also agree with most of the other replies - chalk it up to experience and move on.

To all those saying OP should have rung the takeaway instead of emailing, please reread the OP. :)
